# Where Can I Change the Language?

## Overview

With the **regional settings** under **Language & Currency**, you can choose the language in which the BidX interface is shown, the currency for values, and the date format used in the product. You can select either “Deutsch” or “English.” These changes affect the interface texts, system notifications, and emails.

## Accessing the Function

You can find the language and currency settings in **Account Settings** under the menu item **Language & Currency**.

## Step-by-Step Guide

### Step 1: Navigate to the Settings

First, go to **Account Settings** and select **Language & Currency**.

### Step 2: Change the Language

In the “Regional Settings” section, you'll see the field **Set your preferred language here:**. Open the drop-down menu and select either **Deutsch** or **English**. Your selection determines the language of the entire interface and system messages.

### Step 3: Save Changes

Once you’ve finished, click the **Update** button. Your changes will be saved. A message will appear: “Your settings have been changed successfully and will take effect when you reload the page.” After reloading, the interface will be shown in your chosen language and the new currency and date format will be applied throughout the product.

## Limitations & Special Notes

- Currently, **German** and **English** are supported.
- Changes take effect after the page is reloaded.
- If you can’t see **Account Settings**, please contact support.
- Your selected language may also affect system emails and invoices.

## Tips & Best Practices

- Set a default language that your entire team understands.
- Choose the currency and date format that best fits your reporting needs.
- After clicking **Update**, wait for the confirmation message and for the page to reload automatically.
